A. Course Description:
Rhetoric 1 is a study of Aristotle's Poetics and Rhetoric.
B. Course Objectives/Methods:
This course guides students through Aristotle's foundational rhetorical works and requires students to practice his advice both in speech and writing.
C. Course Goals:
Students will be able to do the Following:
- Analyze and practice the components of the art of rhetoric as defined by Aristotle.
- Master basic research skills.
- Write clearly and persuasively.
- Speak clearly and persuasively.
