A. Course Description:
Physics is a survey of Physics, emphasizing forces and constant acceleration equations.
B. Course Objectives/Methods:
Physics is an introduction to Physics. It underlines the foundational Newtonian Laws of Physics as well as their application on the surface of the earth. There is a strong emphasis on the scientific mathematics necessary to predict and account for gravitation.
C. Course Goals:
Students will be able to do the Following:
- Reach reasonable conclusions by performing experiments following the scientific method.
- Apply the scientific method to a variety of situations, including
- o The basic motion of matter
- o The basic ideas of Newtonian Physics
- Summarize and outline written information
- Cultivate a greater awareness of the majesty and power of our Creator.
- Form arguments into logical, concise, written form
- Develop an interest in how motion works.
- Develop an inquisitive nature that wonders why things in nature happen as they do.
- Develop the analytical faculties to answer said inquiries without much background.
- Answer advanced questions logically from known information.
