Parent Activities

P.O.P.S. (Pillars of Providence School)

P.O.P.S. is a parents group enthusiastically supporting Providence Christian Academy by Praying, Organizing and Participating for School. P.O.P.S. activities include publishing a monthly newsletter for parents, gathering regularly to pray for the children, staff, and families of Providence Christian Academy, and providing a “hot lunch” program for the school.

P.O.P.S. has provided funding for various projects such a playground equipment, computers, printers, classroom equipment and science equipment through both the proceeds of the hot lunch program and PCA's own travel website

Providence Symposia

This lecture series engages important cultural issues from an intensely practical, biblical perspective. All Symposia are held at the school.

Deeds for Dollars

PCA has cultivated a school culture which highly values hands-on parental involvement.  Each PCA family is required to serve 50 hours per school year or pay a fee of $500.  This allows the school to make use of the various gifts and talents of PCA parents.

Parents are asked to document their hours throughout the year in the Deeds for Dollars notebook in the office. Teachers also post volunteer jobs in the front of this notebook. It is a good idea from time to time to check this notebook to see if there is a job that would be just right for you.
